Scott Burk

Scott founded Scott’s Landscaping Inc. in 1990 with the support of his wife Kimberly Burk.  He serves as the CEO/President and oversees day-to-day operations, future planning & growth and the management supervisors as a mentor.  Scott graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Landscape Contracting and is on the board and executive committee of the Centre County Builders Association and also serves on the board and education committee of Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association (PLNA).  Scott is a Certified Landscape Professional, Certified Landscape Technician, certified installer with Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute and Certified Pesticide Applicator.

Frederick Smithmyer

Fred is the Construction Coordinator for all residential and certain commercial installation projects from scheduling and supervising the jobs through overseeing completion. Other responsibilities include the management of the office display gardens and grounds, annual displays, interviewing prospect employees and crew and equipment management.  He graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology with a degree in Landscape/Nursery Technology in 2002 and has been working for Scott’s ever since. Fred is also the Chairman of the Safety Committee, an active member in PLNA, a Certified Landscape Technician and is a Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist.

Kristen Austin

Kristen graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor degree in landscape architecture.  She completed an internship at a design/build Landscaping Company before joining Scott’s Landscaping, Inc. in 2003.  Kristen specializes in residential design and has won several awards for her designs.  Kristen's main responsibilities include overseeing design work, residential estimating, sales and job management of her installation projects.  She also manages this web site, advertising and technology support.  She is a member of the American Association of Professional Landscape Designers, PLNA and has a certificate in greenroof systems.

Laurie Henry

Laurie is the estimator and project manager of the commercial installation division of the company.  She joined the company after graduating from Penn State University with a B.S. in Landscape Contracting in 2004.  She researches new project leads and prepares pricing to submit bids.  She serves as the main contact, attending project meetings and focusing on the contractual work and tracking that is involved with a large scale project after bid award.  She specializes and has a great interest in Greenroof Systems.  Laurie serves as the Co-Chairman on the safety committee and is an active member of PLNA.

Anthony Boob

Anthony is the Residential Maintenance Coordinator and is responsible for estimating, scheduling and managing the completion of each residential maintenance project.  A graduate from Pennsylvania College of Technology with an Associates Degree in Landscape/Nursery Technology in 2001 and has been with Scott’s Landscaping since 1999.  Anthony is a Certified Pesticide Applicator, Certified Landscape Technician and a member of PLNA.

Jeffrey Krezo

 Jeff is the Commercial Maintenance Coordinator and is responsible for estimating, scheduling and managing the completion of each commercial maintenance project.  He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. Degree in Landscape Contracting in 2008, though has been with Scott’s Landscaping since 1999.  Jeff is a Certified Pesticide Applicator and a member of PLNA.

Marsha Harpster

Marsha is general manager and is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the company that includes finance, budget planning, human resources, and contract negotiation. She is responsible for making sure Scott’s Landscaping Inc.’s policies, procedures, and guidelines are being adhered to and assisting in identifying and implementing corrective actions where necessary. She came to Scott’s Landscaping Inc. in 2007, bringing with her ten years of experience in business management. Marsha serves as secretary on the safety committee.

Cindy Bair

Cindy joined Scott’s Landscaping Inc. in 2004 as officer manager. Cindy serves as a key point of contact between customers, clients, and staff. In addition to providing daily administrative support to all supervisory and management staff, her responsibilities include, customer service, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and inventory control. Cindy is active in identifying and helping to implement new procedures within our company to help increase efficiency.

Bill Chyle

Bill started with Scott’s Landscaping Inc. in 2007 as our nursery manager.  He came to Scott’s with over 30 years of working experience in nursery production and management.  Bill is responsible for nursery production, wholesale and retail plants sales and plant procurement for the landscape division of Scott’s Landscaping.
